O Pavilhão Escarlate é um projeto de hospitalidade leve e reversível, implantado na área protegida às margens do Rio Perfume, em Hue, onde regulamentações rigorosas preservam a paisagem natural. Nesse contexto, o projeto assume essas restrições como base de sua identidade arquitetônica. Concebido como uma segunda residência e refúgio boutique para um jovem casal, o pavilhão adota um sistema reversível, que pode ser montado, desmontado e removido sem deixar marcas permanentes, minimizando o impacto no local.

A Casa Shin-Dae-Ri, em Hoengseong, foi projetada para um casal idoso que buscava deixar para trás sua longa vida em Seoul e se estabelecer em uma rotina mais tranquila, imersa na natureza. O terreno está localizado em uma pequena vila montanhosa na Gangwon Province, onde o solo se eleva em direção a uma encosta arborizada nos fundos e se abre para um vale com um curso d’água à frente. Cercada por sucessivas cadeias de montanhas, a casa é concebida como um lugar onde o casal pode cultivar um jardim, cuidar de uma pequena plantação e vivenciar as mudanças das estações como parte do cotidiano.

O setor da construção civil enfrenta hoje um paradoxo incontornável: a necessidade urgente de soluções sustentáveis para o futuro das cidades colide com o esgotamento do próprio termo “sustentabilidade”, muitas vezes reduzido a um selo comercial vazio. Diante desse cenário, a Arquivo — uma das vencedoras do prêmio Next Practices 2025 do ArchDaily — emerge como uma facilitadora e uma mediadora entre os diferentes agentes no campo da construção a partir da desmontagem – ou ainda, des-construção – e o reuso de elementos construtivos. Etimologicamente, se “construir” deriva do latim construere (“amontoar, reunir”), o prefixo “des-” impõe uma inversão conceitual: não se trata de destruir, mas de desmontar com inteligência para compreender a lógica das partes.

This transition implies not only a functional update but a comprehensive reinterpretation of its spatial, constructive, and environmental logics, in accordance with new forms of contemporary living.
Polène Flagship Store / NORM Architects

Set along Via Manzoni in the heart of Milan, the new flagship store for Polène unfolds as a considered spatial narrative that invites visitors to move not only through a retail environment, but through a sequence of atmospheres shaped by material, light, and rhythm. Inspired by Milanese interiors, the project draws on the tradition of enfilade spaces and the city’s rich material palette to create a layered and immersive experience. Conceived as an architectural interpretation of the brand’s essence, the design translates Polène’s dedication to craftsmanship, natural sensibility, and sculptural form into a refined spatial language. Drawing from Milan’s distinctive architectural character – where restrained façades often conceal richly articulated interiors – the new Polène store reveals itself gradually. Beyond its calm exterior, a series of rooms aligned in enfilade, inspired by traditional Milanese interiors, establishes a clear visual axis, guiding the body intuitively through space while allowing moments of pause and discovery along the way. Each threshold frames the next, creating a layered progression where perspective, proportion, and materiality work in harmony.

Located in Santa Margalida, a small town in the north of Mallorca, the project proposes a building with 10 social housing units and 10 multipurpose spaces, constructed using local and/or low environmental impact materials. The exterior structure is built with marés sandstone from local quarries, resulting in a robust and durable construction that ensures the building’s integration into its surroundings. The interior is resolved through a horizontal structure of prefabricated timber panels and a vertical structure of load-bearing walls made of locally sourced brick, facilitating the project’s economic feasibility.

Elevation is often framed as progress, lifting movement above the friction of the city and smoothing circulation into uninterrupted flow. Every act of lifting produces a secondary condition in its wake. Beneath flyovers, metro lines, and railway viaducts, a second ground emerges as shaded, ambiguous, and rarely planned with the same intent as what moves above. These spaces are not incidental leftovers. They are the spatial consequence of a design decision that privileges speed, clearance, and efficiency, redistributing value and visibility across the city in the process.

From flamenco to ceramic tiles adorning façades and historic monuments, each region of Spain embraces its own customs and traditions, reflected in its architecture, history, art, and design. During Milan Design Week 2026, Tile of Spain presents Spanish Design as a Souvenir at the Fuorisalone—an installation that transforms ceramic tile into a narrative medium through a series of sculptural objects reinterpreting everyday icons of Spanish life.
